Meet Our Staff

Holly Shamas

Holly Shamas – Owner/Director

Holly Shamas is the owner and director of Jubilee Kids Academy. She established Jubilee in September 2012 here in beautiful South Lake Tahoe. Prior to opening Jubilee Holly had a home daycare in her family’s home from 1993-2012 and raised her 3 boys who are now 17, 26 and 29. Her love and passion for children is her life. Living here in Tahoe with her husband and boys has allowed her to attend LTCC and study early Childhood Education to further her knowledge about educating children and then open her own facility. During the same time that she had her home daycare Holly also worked many weekends in Sierra at Tahoe’s daycare center while her own boys were able to enjoy skiing. Holly enjoys watching children grow and learn and especially loves when they say “You know what Ms. Holly…” Her passion for working with kids stems from her belief that we can learn as much from them as they can learn from us.

I was born and raised in Peru ( South America) where I attended college to study Law. I moved to Tahoe in 2010. I married my husband Raul and have two children, one boy and one girl. I returned to college in 2015 to study Early Childhood Education. In June 2016 I received my certificate and 2017 my AA in Early Childhood Education. I like to work with children and watch them learn. I’m currently a 3 year old teacher here at Jubilee and enjoy my job because every day is a new day. They are learning and discovering so much.
